Not to be an ass but pregnancy hormonally unbalances you, sometimes even the unpregnant partner too, so it’s not hard at all to make pregnant people cry.
So, ya know, she basically did the equivalent of “When I fell down and scratched my knee I said ow what do you think now?”. (Well, ma’am, I think that generally people who fall down and scratch their knees say ow or do some sort of vocal expression of pain so I really don’t know what your point is at all and why your stereotypical response means anything about anything.)
